Finally I have finished editing the images I have taken of trafic passing the the old train station building using the same nd filter, results:

This is a crane-truck passing in front of Wellington train station, I had a hard time extracting the traffic cones in the foreground and you would probably still see reminiscence of the editing process.

- Cropped out the traffic cones, its quicker but I lost half the train station building - still a cool image though

Long time - no see! sorry

I went to wellington waterfront on Wednesday, lunchtime, and toke some images of the people walking, jogging and cycling while using my adjustable ND filter. Though the images came out ok I's a bit disappointed in the shadow cast in the two opposite corners and light cast in the the alternative opposite corners. I guess this was an efect created by the to opposing polarizing filters used to make up the ND filter.

As I said - ok:

The following two shots included cyclist, one wearing a red shirt and the other a blue. For the old man I would say - thank you, for your movements made to these images special;

You might have noticed the manhole cover is missing in the second shot - I could not edit-out the cover in "red cycle's" shot

It was such a nice day on Saturday, had to take out my camera, do you know how difficult it is to take a picture of a buttery in flight?

Today's post is an image where I have tried painting with light. This image I like to call "Romeo is dead - you can see his blood". comments welcome.

Hi, I have taken this photo of a cat (very shy) siting in my driveway one morning. I call him one-eye-jack, and just thought the composition of the photo is pretty good

The same day I have taken some shots of flowers and bugs

Sorry for the posting delay, I went to Redwood train station last night and toke some shots - please enjoy:

another post for today, this does not happen often, for these are pictures I used my new six pointed star filter and as this was a rainy evening and I got some nice images, such as this

There is also a suburban train that pass in front of the house and I toke some shots of that, whit a longer exposure they do make very nice light trails like so

then later that evening the stars came out.......

Hi there, on today's post I would like to add some more pictures of the truck show I attended.

Sunday, February 5, 2012

hi sme again, we have visited the truck show yesterday and although there were many trucks, I found the cars more appealing. In the picture below I have not blanked out the number plate as it is more authentic this way plus the owner of the car is welcome to contact me and I will give him a copy of all the pictures I have taken of his car.

In Photoshop I have edited the picture to wash out the color from the background to place emhacis on the colors of the cars.

Hi, today I would like to post pictures I have taken on my lunch break in Wellington CBD. comments welcome

Some told me that the large panoramic shot in the last post has some lines in the sky, this is probable because of the reduction in photo size this is the same photo - less reduced, and I have run it through PSE and added a auto lighting correction.

Hi again, I should update this blog more regularly and I intend to do so from now on. I also haven't received any comments but I think it has to do with my settings, I will try and correct that too. The photo today was one that I have taken on Saturday on my way back from a Golf club nearby. Three things I have come to realize 1. keep your camera ready, 2 keep you camera with you, because 3 timing is everything.

The third picture i like to call "the angry tree eye" I have taken on the golf course.

Hi, some time ago we visited the Wellington botanical garden where I have taken some pictures like these that follow and being summer in the Southern Hemisphere the flowers in the garden are spectacular .
